80 Kms from Marrakech the village of Setti-Fatma to the foot of the high atlas will be the starting point of the visit of the 7 cascades in company of our guide (to envisage good shoes for 2H of rather sporting ballade).

This valley is punctuated D’a string small douars (villages) at the cob houses fixed on the sides of the mountains where the orchards and the cultures give a green aspect.

The lunch in edge of L’Oued in one of many the gargotes is one moment of happiness ; the tagines with the wood fire are delicious.

As we go south to Asni, we'll run alongside a big stag and mouflon reserve and reach the Ouirgane basin and its salt marsh which stands in an almost alpine landscape. At an altitude of 1000 meters this locality is buried in lush green landscape and is a nice and freshening rest point. This privileged stop is also the starting point of many horse and mule treks to the Berber mountains and typical villages.

We suggest either a hike or mule-trekking with a meal as a paying guest on the way.

Important: This excursion is best done on Berber Souk days: Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Walking: 4 hrs | Driving: 5 hrs

Drive from Marrakesh or Ouirgane to the Marigha traditional salt mines that are still in use. Continue driving past the Ouirgane dam and the N’Fiss Gorge. You will also pass several villages that have a Tuesday market.

Once you reach the N’Fiss river valley, you'll start the hike to the villages of Ait Berihi, Imawnan, and to Tin Mal, followed by a visit to the 12th century mosque. Enjoy lunch at a local Berber family’s home in Ijoukak. Then, it'ss back to Ouirgane or Marrakesh
