Day 1

Rendezvous at the group hotel in Marrakech. Literally opposite the hotel is the Djeema El Fna, where you can witness the daily evening spectacle.

Day 2

An exiting overland journey across the High Atlas by way of the Tizi n'Tichka and sub-Saharan Ouarzazate, then across an arid, flat landscape to N'Kob, where there is a large palmeraie.

Day 3

Begin the trek into the amazing Jebel Sahro across stony plains to the mountains and tonights camp at Tiguiza.

Day 4

Ascending through wide valleys, passing bizarre rock pinnacles and small villages, tonight's camp is beneath Jebel Amlal, an optional ascent if you want expansive views.

Day 5

From the Tagra valley the dusty trail leads up onto a plateau where the nomadic Ait Atta tribe may be encountered. The free-standing rock tower of Bab N'Ali is particularly impressive. Onwards to Igli.

Day 6

North of Igli are the outlandish rock formations known as the "Camel's Humps". Across the Tizi n Ouarg and an optional ascent of Kouaouch may reveal views across to the snow covered peaks of the High atlas.

Day 7

Heading north, we have several options including a direct trail over the beautiful Isk n'Alla before descending the flanks of the northern Sahro to Tagdilt.

Day 8

Overland transfer back across the Atlas to Marrakech.

Depart Marrakech
