“Magical Morroco”

Wow what an unexpected beauty they are! I thought Morocco would be all dusty roads and desert, but how wrong i was! If you want to get a sense of the real Morocco, visiting the Atlas mountains is a must! The Berbers are very welcoming people and their villages with in the mountains are hidden treasures. We were very lucky to have a personal guide who spoke astounding English and took great care of us both, watching our every step on the rocky paths to ensure our safety. The waterfalls are pretty and refreshing stops in the African heat where people from all different cultures gather together to bask in the sun and take in the stunning views around. The souks in the mountains have the best variety too and its nice knowing your money is going to good people that need your cash rather than the harsh hagglers in inner city areas. Trekking amongst the olive and apple trees of the Atlas mountains truly was a humbling experience that took my breath away. Some of my highlights were taking a short camel ride up to the start of the trek, seeing monkeys living in the wild and enjoying a delicious Moroccan feast at the foot of the mountain whilst paddling in a stream. Next time we will make it to the top!

“Excellent Day Trip from Marrakech”

booked the 1 day trip to the berber market and then walk to the berber village and lunch,,I cant praise it enough !
Lahecn was a brilliant host and guide, we felt very comfortable with him and had fun with him as well as being educated in berber life.
Lahecn is so knowledgable and answered all our questions and is very enthusiastic. The trip to the market was an eye opener and Lahecn showed us all of it..the meat market was not for the faint hearted .. this is berber life not the touristy souks...it was great as we were the only tourists there such a refreshing change from marrakesh centre.Lehcn made us the most fantastic cup of tea with fresh herbs he bought at the market and the he got us some fresh doughnuts

“A real treat”

It was a great adventure. We got to see how the villagers's life in close up. We had tea and home-made lunch in their houses. I must say it is one of the best Tagine's I ever had out of Marrakech! We've also seen how they make the traditional bread and basically, how the berber villagers live. Unlike Marrakech, the locals in the village are very polite, friendly and welcoming. You can tell that these people are sincere and are not asking for anything else in return.

“4 days in Imlil valey and Toubkal ascend”

I have recently done a 1 day excursion around Imlil Valey and 3 days of the circular toubkal mt. trek. I came alone and had 3 person joining me. Our guide was Ibrahim Amzil- an official authorized and very friendly guide with good English, French (of course..) and other languages, with a broad knowledge although his reletively young age and the ability to run down hill fast as a mountain goat. The trek was amazing and a bit challenging and we finished the trek with new friendships and good memories- great experiance! Highly reccomended both trek and guide!

“A superb cultural experience!”

I would highly recommend this great day out with the lovely guide Ibrahim. It's a unique experience, although does involve a fair amount of walking (we did the moderate excursion). Not to worry though, they have a mule to carry the bags and that can provide your legs with a brief rest!

The families you meet along the way are lovely, and provide the most amazing mid-morning snack and meal. A must for anyone staying in Marrakech and looking for a day trip into the mountains to discover the Berber villages!

“Vraiment super excursion à très bon prix”

Nous avons visité le Maroc pour les nouvelles années et nous sommes allés à Imlil au début de notre voyage.
J'avais prévu deux jours de randonnée avec Ahmed, et tout était très bien organisé, planifié par lui.
Le guide Ahmed fournis était excellent. Il parlait couramment l'anglais, il savait très bien la région et il était très aimable et poli.

“A “Excursion was the highlight of our stay in Morocco!”

My first thought when I started the visit to the Tuesday Berber market in Tahnaout was: Finally I am out of the chaotic and stressful medina in Marrakech and I can enjoy real-life in a smaller town. This market is not at all for tourists who are looking for another souvenir to take home. Here is where you can really see how local people are living. This market is by and for local people who need to buy their food, spices, cooking tool etc. It was amazing to stroll around and drink a fresh mint tea in one of the communal areas.

After the market we visited a Berber village, set in a fantastic landscape, and we had lunch at one of the Berber houses (a fantastic tajine with home-made bread).

If you want to experience something really authentic, take this tour to Imlil valley!

“brlilliant walk, lovely scenery”

A big thank you to Ebrahim especially for taking on such a special trek through the Berber hills above wirgan. We had a wonderful day. The scenery was amazing. Great to be able to see the real life of the charming Berber people. Highly recommend. Only an hours drive from Marrakech.
